Heh, welcome to the club, so to speak.
I got Maschine about 6 or 8 months ago (maybe more?) and I'm still addicted to it.
It's got to be one of the all time great pieces of gear made yet.

    Enjoy!

Hmm, for me it takes up almost the entire track view except for the header area, which works out nice actually.

What area is it taking up for you - or not?

Oh  and if you haven't gotten the very latest update (1.5.1) definitely get that as soon as possible.  lt's free update.

i get to see 4 scenes and and 8 pads (only 3 with velocity showing) . Compare this to standalone  - 9 scenes and 16 pads.

it would be nice to be able to resize bigger.

Hmm, my plugin looks exactly the same as the standalone version.

Did you go into the preferences/setup in STANDALONE version first?   Again I'm not at my DAW but I seem to remember some setting for this.   It may be in the plugin itself, however.

Oh - and you should check out the NI Maschine user forum.  LOTS of good people/info there - plus someone put together a great hardware-based manual that I keep very handy.   It's a good reference to have around - and the guy who did it made it available freely to all - it's even up to the 1.5 update version level.

Hadnt really tried too hard to figure it out, but expected there to be a drag option on the bottom right like Kontakt. This helps a lot. Ill be on the look out for that manual. Thanks!!!

Glad you got it sorted out.  Definitely get that hardware ref guide.   It contains LOTS of useful info, and is a hand reference for sure.

Enjoy being in The Maschine ;)

Glad to find this thread. I just bit the bullet and ordered Maschine 1.7 and Komplete 8 Ultimate. This is my upgrade from Kore 2 and Komplete 6. With the release of K8 Ultimate and the 1.7 update for Maschine it looked to me like it was time to step into the future - that they really put it all together this time. Looks like I won't be disappointed. And to boot, it looks like I found the answer to integrating a Kinetic type nonlinear writing program into Sonar X1c. Now I don't care what Sonar does to the Matrix view. New Maschinist on board the Sonar Train...

you got the discount from NI if you have kontroller right ? I can't trust NI not to turn around and quit with Maschine (within a 5 week peroid), so thats the doubt that has stopped me from buying it so far.

Oh I think NI will be continue the Maschine development and support for quite some time to come.

And, regardless - Maschine is just such a great tool.  I've yet to meet/speak/know of someone who hasn't fallen in love with it once they have it (and learn how to use it).

Yep I got the discount which was a major reason I decided to bite the bullet. I spent months reading posts and the Maschine manuals and watching the videos too...and my conclusion is it is a logical step I won't regret. And it is so similar to Kinetic. Kore 2 is no competition to it. But I'm leaving Kore on my older computer and will be using Maschine on a new one. I won't be installing Kore on the new computer. Be Midi has it right. I have yet to find a post from someone who doesn't love Maschine, or find a post about NI's instruments not being compatible with Maschine's browser. It seems they nailed it this time and I won't miss morphing since morphing in Kore didn't do what I wanted it to do anyway. Everything else that's in Kore is in Maschine...and if they never do another update or improvement I don't care since it works now, and does all I need it to do right now...I know I am going to love it when it gets here in a few hours.

I have/use Kore 2 (software edition) but I consider it one of those "i'm in a hurry, need something quick" plugins.   While it has very good routing flexibility and internal handling, plus vst hosting -- it has VERY limited synthesis function and VERY limited sound editing functions.   They have the 'morph" thing, but it's no big deal (to me).

Maschine, on the other hand, has TONS of features that make Kore look like the McDonalds plugin, so to speak.

So I know you're in for a very good ride ;)
