New User to Kinetic - No Sound Output

I'm wondering what I did wrong in the setup. I have just installed the Kinetic program and don't seem to get any output sounds if I just load and play the Tutorial file. I currently have Home Studio 2 loaded and it works just fine with my NS5R midi module. I get sound output through all other applications but not Kinetic. Can anyone shed any ligh on this?

    What is the configuration of your output? MIDI or audio? I think you only will get sound through audio outputs.

    Thanks for the tip. It appears that only certain output drivers produce audio that works, primarily the Dsound driver. The Creative WDM and DSound drivers don't seem to work, but the primary and the Conexant drivers do. I was hoping to get MIDI output as well to drive my sound modules, but I guess I misunderstood the capability of the software. It can take MIDI Input but can't do MIDI output. The documentation on this is very sketchy if at all present.
