New happy owner ...

Hi all,

I received my new VS-700 components this week (console and interface) and had a question about registering.
Do I register each unit separately with it's individual serial numbers,
or do I simply registering the whole set using the VS-700SET serial number located on the outer most box?
Or all three serial numbers?

I am also already a Sonar 8 registered user, I imagine I will still need to register the new copy that came with
the set so as to get the free upgrade to X1, correct?

Just want things to go smooth.

mmmm if I remember well yes you have to enter all 3 serial numbers.
If you want to have the free X1 upgrade then yes I'm pretty shure you have to register your new 8 copy.

    Hi Gary,

Welcome to the V-Studio club! It's a great system.

You'll probably need to contact customer service because I'm not sure if Cakewalk or Roland is handling the system registration now. Check out this page: http://www.cakewalk.com/Register/faq.aspx

And be sure to check out my V-Studio 700 eBook... it's free...

    Thanks Scott,
I did download your "closer look" e-book, as well as pre-order the X1 power book.
    Great stuff!

The Cakewalk registration page lists under "products" - Sonar V-Studio Hardware
    I will register all 3 serial numbers from the purchase, (set# - console# - and interface#)

    Thanks

Thanks, Gary! I hope you enjoy both books.

Sorry I didn't mention that before, but yes, you'll need all three serial numbers.

Well that didn't work, trying to register the hardware serial #'s.
I tried the console, interface, and the set serial #'s that begin with the "ZX"_____.

Each time I get an error message that that is an invalid serial #.

I guess I will have to call.
