New install on new computer Win 10 loading a .cwb

Hi, maybe someone can shed some light on this.
New install on new computer Win 10 loading a .cwb returns a "corrupt file, padding has been inserted".  So the audio is gone.
The original file was done and saved on a Win 7 machine that works perfectly and never crashed.
On the new Win 10 Machine, half the files are gone.
I've tried both Sonar 7.0.3 and X2  at both 32 & 64 bits.  They both do the same thing.
I'm running one SSD.  planing to get a couple of 4 TB drives for data.
The SSD is about 500 Gig.
Any suggestions????
Best Regards
Pat

Have you checked the integrity of the files themselves?. A rigorous test would be to calculate the MD5 from a backup cwb file against the one you are having trouble with in Win 10. If the working file is identical to the "bad" file, then you are probably dealing with an installation issue, or an incompatibility with the versions of SONAR installed on Win 10. If the files themselves have been corrupted...

thanks for the info Slartabarfast!  I think its a OS comparability problem.  Every file I copy over to the Win10 CPU gives the same "corrupt, padding file with silence".  I've gone back to my win 7 on old hard ware hardware to complete the job for today.  no problems.  But, perhaps I need the latest Sonar for Win 10.  Is there such a thing?  Is any firm selling and or supporting Sonar at this time???  I hope so, we're very fond of it.
Thanks,
pat

Try saving the project as a .CWP (CakeWalk Project) then copy the project (along with the audio folder) to new machine. .CWB (Cakewalk bundle files) have been known to provide unpredictable results.

If you still have an issue I would guess V Vocal edits not bounced or slip edits that weren't "Bounced to clips".
Just a guess anyway.

Windows 8.1 X64 Sonar Platinum x64
Custom built: Asrock z97 1150 - Intel I7 4790k - 16GB corsair DDR3 1600 - PNY SSD 220GB
Focusrite Saffire 18I8 - Mackie Control
