Just had a second listen, and it sounded even better... great mix too.

Thanks for the extra listen, Phil!

Beautiful!!  Well done!

Thanks, fjz!

Steve,
I'm sorry I hadn't listened to your music before but after listening to that one I'll be SURE to come through more often.  Beautiful song and played with a lot of heart.  Soothing yet powerful.  Nice work.

Thanks, Arlen, I appreciate that.   And of course no reason to say sorry.

markno999
Nice one Steve.   Your arrangement and performance is really spot on:)   Had a couple listens through, good stuff.

Thanks, Mark!  Glad you liked it.

Hi Steve,
I actually saw this a couple of days ago when I swung over to your SoundCloud page to see if you'd created any new tunes. For some reason I didn't spot your post here (it may have been on page 2...)

Lovely song this Steve. Such a grand piece. Some great guitar solo work in there too.

Production is up there with your best and which is what I have come to expect since I have been following your work.

Thanks, Andy!  As always.   Happy to know the production is consistent.

optimus
Steve, just came across this. What can I say. EPIC!

Thanks, Optimus!   I don't know about "epic", but I'll take it.

Walt Collins
Yes, I think EPIC is the right word. A beautiful gift for your wife. May you both enjoy it for many years to come.
I will add that I also love the AAS Lounge Lizard, and almost every song I do has (at least) one track that uses it. It may be my favorite VST instrument ever.

Thanks, Walt!   Yeah, I think she likes it.       And ditto on LL, I really love the way it "feels".

String Jammer
Great job on this. It builds nicely and the guitars remind me of Trans Siberian Orchestra. Loved it from beginning to end!

Thanks, Scott!   FWIW, TSO was definitely an influence in this one, no doubt.

tbosco
Very emotional tune Steve.  Great guitar tone and nice chops!  I wanted to hear the song take off in a weird direction about 2/3 of the way through, but that's just me.  Maybe think about keeping the melody centered.
Great background instrument choices.  Keep up the good work!

Thanks, Tony!    I think may have thrown something "different" in there when I first wrote it, but I couldn't seem to find the original MIDI version (and I keep everything) so played it safe and stuck with the theme.

Lovely! Really liked the guitar play style, reminded me of Genesis (Rutherford). And what about the last chord! Like cream on the mash as we say in sweden.

Thanks, Lasse!   I've never heard a Rutherford comparison before, but I can certainly deal with it.

I'm also glad you liked that last chord...  I figure a major ii6/9 works every now and then.

Steve, this isn't as adventurous as many of your works, but it's a pleasing listen.  The guitar work is very nice and the mix is excellent.

Thanks, Allan!    Yeah, this was meant to be a little more straightforward than most of my stuff, aka, "fit for purpose".

Very nice to listen to and very well produced and played. So many things to like but the bass line stood out for me, it literally sang out. I loved all the builds and changes of style. Really very impressed and simply underlines how much I still have to learn. Terrific stuff and thanks for sharing. Andy

Sonar Platinum, Win10 Pro 64-bit, 16Gb RAM, Six-core AMD, Twin SSD. Instruments: Roland A88 and Taylor 314CE all through a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4. More ambition than talent.

Thanks, Andy!   I really appreciate the comments, and am glad you liked those bass lines (coming from a closet /non-bassist).

Wow, great job!
Someone posting before me used the term "epic" and I think that fits very well. Nice build and it pays off.
Great sounding guitar, I'm jealous of your chops!
