New interface on the horizon....

From N/I. It looks pretty good to me but i'd like some "input" for those who know more.

It looks like it has a pretty good set of I/O and they claim low latency with new chips. 16/24 bit depth and a good range of sampling. It has 4 audio inputs but two are line. Can one add an adapter to an XLR and use line inputs for another mic (if it does not need phantom power)?

They have some great high rez pictures on the site... 339 bucks..  what do you think??

I seen the email this morning too. Great price for it but I don't see WDM mode , I see  ASIO, CORE AUDIO, DIRECT SOUND, WASAPI,but no WDM ,  I Love NI products Own almost all there products but only to rely on one driver with sonar, is like play Russian Roulette . Dynamic Range is only 102dB seems low to me compare to other devices.

I am a hard core RME fan.  Been using RME products since late 90s.  I have two of the Fireface 800s.

I think RME has some things in that price range.

RME is known for ultra low latency and very stable drivers.  And the audio quality of the A/D and D/A chain is close to apogee.

    My 2c.

Oh, I don't have anything bad to say about NI.  I just like to buy my hardware from hardware guys and software from software guys.  My experiences with most of the people that do both have been disappointing.

    Some people call me Maurice

SPLAT Pro lifetime, ADK 6 core 3.6Ghz with 32 GB RAM, SSD 1TB system drive, 3 3TB regular drives for samples, recordings and misc.  Behringer X Touch, UAD Apollo Quad.  2 UAD2 Quads PCI (i think - inside the box whatever that is), Console 1.  More guitars (40??) and synths (hard and soft) than talent.  Zendrum!!!

I've never heard a bad word about RME.... never! Nothing but praise. I'll likely go RME when I buy another interface.
