Nice mix, great job on the instruments! Drums and bass sit really well, and the guitars are spot on. The lead vocal is a little too dry for my taste, but the delivery is pretty good. Overall, very well done. Regards, Dan

+1 nice job! The performance, arrangement and mix sound very good. Though I agree with Dan that the lead vocal seems a bit dry against the instrumentation.

First, I love this song! You nailed the arrangement and mix, imo. I like the vocal as is because it is a nice way to give the song texture and draw one's attention to it. Plus, your terrific performance makes it all come together. Bravo!

Hi all, Thank you all for your inputs on this mix, dcumpian, stecec- i agree that the vocals could use a little more ambience, but i had some "bad" experiences on other mixes with the use of reverb´s, so on this one all i did was send the vocals trough a delay aux. Lynn-Thank you for your kind words,

No, no. The vox need to be a bit more out front, and should be excited and eq'ed a little brighter and wetter and "thicker." As opposed to the Stephen King novel by the opposite title. As much as I respect Dan, " and believe me I do..." And that snare needs some love too. It's not bad? But it's not good. And you don't want to be floating in the middle there? I like the song, make it better.

Have to agree with Lynn, the vocals sound fine "as is". Maybe you could back off the verb on the instruments at the beginning, as my first thought as the song started was " this is too wet". It got less obtrusive as the song progressed and everything came together, but then I thought the same thing as the song ended and I wanted a little more definition as the sound got pared back in the last few bars. This is a really, really good song. I like it a lot.

Great number and great performance. I agree with Lynn concerning the vocal. It has a great quality for this type of song -- although, I also agree that maybe the vocal could be brought up front more or maybe the instrumentation could be backed off a wee bit. As with one who also battles with 'verb, I appreciate your dilemma! Nice one!
