New plug in Helix Native doesn't work in MC5

Hello,

I own Win 7 SP1 64 bits, 3 Ghz CPu, 8 Go Ram, a good PC to do home studio.

First I've been using Guitar Rig as a plug in for months, it works fine, no bug.

I've installed beside it,  in same folder C:\Program Files(X86)\Cakewalk\Vstplugins , Helix Native which we can try it during 15 days.

No result after verifying this way:

With similar manner to do with MC

And this one:

Helix never appears in the display , I mean when I choose "excluded plug ins", although it seems to be accepted when I scan for all VST in Cakewalk folder, helix native.dll appears during 1 second... but never in a track!

Thanks to help me.

Bruno

PS : sorry, the links doesn't appear in my post ...

Bruno,

Chances are the Helix Native demo VST is a 64 bit plug-in.  64 bit plug-ins are not compatible with Music Creator 5 because MC5 is a 32 bit program.

When you look at the folders on your hard drive you'll find program files exist in two locations, C:/program files and C:/program files(x86).  C:/program files contains 64 bit programs while C:/program files(x86) contains 32 bit programs.  A 64 bit VST plug-in will not even be recognized by a 32 bit program.

There is a utility program called jBridge for Windows that allows 64 bit plug-ins to be used in 32 bit programs.  It is available for download here:  https://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridge/

Oops, it works but no sound .

Both plug ins Guitar Rig and Helix are mute...it seems so complicated.

So fortunatly I've fired my folder Vst bridged and come back to first Vst folder to be scanned (32 bits), and  it still works with Guitar Rig.

I've install demo version of Sonar Home Studio, no problem to use Helix , the sound is on!
