One mix suggestion; try  taking the reverb off the drum kit completely, but keep it on the conga track.

Man, if I was "one tenth as good?" at the mixing as James or Tim? I''d be on your suggestion like a June Bug on a duck's back!

But I appreciate your listen and comment :-) Thank you!

Very cool tune Robby.  I love your vocals on this.  That solo instrument is really nicely done.  I can't exactly tell what it is, but it's really musical.

No nits.  This sounds good to my ears.

Peace,

Ian

:-) Thanks Ian! That solo instrument is a sax? Maybe Tim mixed it a bit too far back? I really enjoyed playing it. I really can't complain about his mix though. His is a hot chick with a great rack? Mine was a nasty skank w/a bad complexion...

I'm coming in late, after remixes were done, but it sound great to me. Love the vox particularly. The first few seconds of the song is almost a turnoff because it sounds so depressing which it's supposed to) but then the song quickly sucked me in. Only critique I have is the acoustic maybe needs a little eq, to my ears.

Yeah, both James and Tim beat me like a redneck wife in a trailer park over the acoustic guitar... And believe me they both had to work with it "extensively" to get it to sound as good as it does :-( Thanks for listening and for commenting!

You are Still The BEST Vocalist on here IMPO...I mean you could just have someone farting as your band and your Vocals would still soar.

Allen! LOL! hahaha, you know there's a song by an old British group called "The Bonzo Dog Doo Daa Band?" Called "Noises for the leg?" :-) Perhaps I should cover it? hahahaha! Thank you so much, I'm very flattered, you are TOO kind! I consider myself blessed to be counted among the other good singers here (and there are many.)

Thanks again.

Robby, I didn't recognize you by your current name until I got to your page. Very cool smoky groove, very dim lights up to highlight the smoke rising next to your glass of whiskey, the glass you raise just enough to sip, because sipping is all a man can do when his head is hanging low. Good job hitting those high vocal notes. Really a terrific song.

A few guitars, a couple of basses, a MIDI controller, a mandolin, a banjo, a mic, PodFarm2

Thanks Mark, yes, I believe you nailed it? People say, "man, how can you bring that kind of emotion in to your performance?" Well, when you've been a$$ raped by the system and people you've loved? It's really not that hard? But in the long run, the sweet release of death comes for us all... Thankfully, music is a way to channel some of that and hopefully get some of that stinkyness out of one's soul. Thanks very much for listening to and commenting on my art. And special thanks again to Tiny Tim Bowman and Jumpin James Yoyo for helping create mixes with me that don't suck.
