New remix - Revolution

I'm participating in yet another remix contest, something that over the years I've found I enjoy doing.  Always interesting to hear raw tracks and twisting them around.

    Sounds great! I think it needs more low end . however I am listening on NS10ms and no sub. I guess wait and see if others agree with that or not

    There should be some sub info happening, but I may have missed some of the range between that and typical near field bottom end.   It's always good to know what others hear in their environments.

    I like it!  It really pops out of my speakers and makes me want to move.  It always helps to have a good song to begin with, but you made it your own.  Kudos!

    The song title and theme immediately made me think of a military drumline type thing, and for whatever reason the original synth line seemed right for a horn section.    So the fact that it's jumping out of the speakers for you makes me happy.

    When I comment a song I most of the time have some suggestions on mix or so - but in this case nada - its very good and I enjoyed every second of it.

    Oh, was referring to the reverse verb fx throughout. I like that you played it up more across the song. :)

    Have you tried this on a surround system?  I think that out of phase bass would be heard out of the rear.

    Good job SteveC.  I like your creativity.  It is a sub shy by about 2 db around 60 IMO.  The kick is really mid range instead of lowend with a pop.  You have a cool feel for this and you captured fun energy.

    I don't have a surround system but that is something I'd like to have available.... at some point, just for reference.
     
    Yeah, the kick is definitely mid-rangy - I was going for a semi-march type thing vs. a traditional kit.  More or less.
