Rob, I love this song!  It's as smooth as silk, and that bass drum is infectious.  The backup vocals are blended in perfectly, and the whole song just screams PROFESSIONAL.  This sound radio ready to me, and I hope it gains a large following for you.  Encore!

All the best,
Lynn

Great, great song.  The tune reminds me a of something Paul McCartney would write (and that's meant as a compliment).

Nice work! Great mix and song. Love the subtle buildup of instrumentation throughout. Sounds like it would be a great fit for a commercial project.

I think the song is great.

I'd mix the bass hotter, the pad/strings lower, and use a hi shelf cut on either the percussion or the whole, with the idea of encouraging the vocal to come forward out of the mix. The hotter bass will frame the vocal. The lower "pad" will reveal the vocal. The dampened hi freq on the percussion will ease the distraction. The vocal will pop forward with out ever touching the vocal.

I don't usually say things like this, but that's what I'd do if I had a chance to mix this very nice song.

best regards,
mike
