Ditto what James said above. Very pretty melody, and I love the organ of course. The rhythm guitar is sweet. I like the arrangment. I'm sorry, I thought I had commented on this tune earlier.

There seems to be a lot better aural seperation in the lead-in voices now and the bass smoothly leads into the music now rather than jumping out at me. Not sure which revision you changed these on but ther are sure nice by my ears now. I liked the bass levels on your last cut, but I think it works as well where you have them now. Glen

"Powerful" was used a few times to describe your vocal performance, which coincides nicely with the image it conveyed as I was listening... "The Marlboro Man". The chorus is catchy and especially noteworthy due to the nice blend you've achieved across the spectrum with your arrangement. Listening in the cans (ATH M50)... and for such a small pooch, you definitely carry a nice well rounded bottom. Very well done Reece and congrats to all participants for a truly enjoyable listen. Note: Thanks for the invitation!

Hiya Philz!!! how's the *warmer* midwest treatin' ya?? thanks so much for the listen and the great kind comments! I appreciate it very very much! I did bring down the chorus vox some after Jame's comment, but they might still be a tad high. but I think I've exhausted my mixing time with this one and I'm ready to put it bed. unless there's something majorly wrong at this point I'm not too interested in adjusting it any more. thanks so much for the comments, tho, I do appreciate it even if I don't want to fix it! amateur Great song, very catchy! I love this song. Argentinian Herb? What? amateur - thanks for stopping by and having a listen and I very much appreciate it! I am very happy that you love the song! Herb's Argentinian prayers were recorded by friends of his in Argentina. he goes down there sometimes for mission trips. it's my understanding (and Herb can correct me if I'm wrong) that he contacted one of his friends there and that friend recorded several people of the village saying the prayer on his cell phone and sent it to Herb who sent it to me for this song. the voices get buried quickly in the caucophony (as they should for the purpose of this song) but there are several Argentinians saying the Lord's prayer in that mix of prayers. thanks again! glad you liked the song!

Hey Reece - a powerful vocal and composition - over-all a good mix. My constructive comment would be that the hats are too loud, and perhaps need a few highs taking out. Also same applies to the backing female vocal - perhaps take out some highs and volume. I'm not getting much kick drum either. That sounds like a lot of crits, but not really. I enjoyed this piece.

Wow - this is a lot I MEAN A LOT Better than I'd heard it on its first outing. Nice transparent Pitch Correction on the vox track (either that, or you resang it?). Hear the snare (and it's a good one too!). Nice! Glad you didn't pull back the back-vox. Would still love to hear the kick (clicky range of 1K-3K up a notch). Maybe higher end too on the whole kick. Guitars got a wee bit buried in this new mix though... just up 'em a bit. Just keep that vox track out in front just like it is. Very nice! Martin

James Yoyo made some suggestions earlier about the levels of your vox on the chorus and the BG vox near the end. I hear the same issues happening in the new mix.

Thanks very much Daylaa! I appreciate the listen, the kind words and the crits! I agree that the hats are a little loud. I will look at taming those. the female vocal level is where I want it to be, tho. I might take some of the highs off of her, but I don't want to dull her any, I want her bright and prominent. I'm at a loss why you guys are having trouble hearing the kick, tho. it's really confusing to me. there must be some differences between systems causing this. I can hear the kick fine on my system with or without headphones and I've even listened to the mp3 version in my truck and I can hear it fine there. I will check the EQ on the drum bus and kick tracks again and see if there's something I can do. thanks again for your listen and great comments! Martin Barret Wow - this is a lot I MEAN A LOT Better than I'd heard it on its first outing. Nice transparent Pitch Correction on the vox track (either that, or you resang it?). Feel free to tell me in the future if you hear pitch issues. I do not have a problem with someone telling me. I re-sang a few if they were off very far and used V-vocal on the rest that were just slightly out. I agree, I like the backing vox on this particular song hot and bright, I think it adds flair to the song! Again, I'm really not understanding what's going on with the kick. everyone's been saying they can't hear it and to me, it's very prominent. Like I said above, I've listened to the mp3 version on my near-fields, my headphones and in the truck and it's already prominent. I'll take another look at the kick tracks and drum bus EQs and see what I can do. I'll check on the guitars, too. and I agree with you that I like the vox like they are. thanks for validating that! I appreciate the help! Scottytunes James Yoyo made some suggestions earlier about the levels of your vox on the chorus and the BG vox near the end. I hear the same issues happening in the new mix. Hi Scotty, I promise I did take James' advice and I have changed the levels of my vox on the chorus and the BG vox near the end (boosting them and lowering mine). I'm not sure why there's still a problem there, but I'll look at it. thanks very much for the 2nd listen and I do appreciate your help! I promise I take yours and James' and everyone's advice seriously and try to hear what you guys are hearing and make adjustments! thanks again everyone!!!

I got flashes of the Mamas & Pappas vocal sound in the chorus, like if you had doubled all the parts their it would have that feeling like on California Dreamin. Thanks much. Rimshot

Well I have to becareful when commenting on this sort of track, you listen to most of mine so I will always pay the compliment back. I'm not much of a beliver in "God" as such but I do believe in universal order and some sort of contolling influence just not in the christan jewish muslim or whatever religion you are into sence. I am not an atheist but I am half pagan with a spiritual bent. Ok now that I have explained my religious views and I hope I haven't offended you I will comment: Love the concept, the begining is excellent, I have written songs with similar ideas, in that is "God" listening?? Wow great voice and nicely played. Good stuff. Peace Ben

Reece, those singing lessons really did a number. I need some of those! This is a well done tune, buddy. Everyone (and there's a lot of you ;-)) does a fantastic job. Great song concept. I like it as a faith tune because I'm not really hearing a lot of cliches. I write some faith tunes but I try to keep the cliches to a minimum. You did a great job of that and it adds effectiveness to the tune. When I Pray, says a lot all by itself. All the different languages makes a statement of its own. I wonder if I am listening after a remix. I have Sennheiser HD280 cans and M-Audio BX8a monitors and both have a very nice level of bass. The BX8a monitors were a Christmas present from my Wife. Man they really are tight and so is your tune. Oh, well, that's enough from me. In a nutshell KEEP PRAYING, buddy.
