New song from teenage band - hardcore

New song by my teenage son's band, Rebel Citizens, that some of you might like. They call it hardcore, so be warned ... screamo vocals. Recorded and mixed in Sonar. Title: SmartManHasTheBrainButStupidManHasTheBrownies. https://www.reverbnation.com/rebelcitizens Mark

Shades of Rob Zombie.  It's not bad at all.  I wouldn't listen to this genre, but I've heard it before, and this has most of everything you would expect for this style of music except the shred lead guitar.  The mix is high energy, and the instruments are strong and punchy.  As for the vocal, when lyrics aren't important this is OK.  They show promise for a teenage band, and I wish them luck.

Not my kind of music either, but thanks for the listen. They have said themselves that they really want the "vocalist" to work on making his words clearer, so it's interesting that you point that out. When my son lets me hear the music they are emulating, I can never understand the what the screamers are saying anyway. Mark

Yeah, I usually try to listen to a few and comment when I post something, at least. Didn't have time yesterday, but will make an effort today. Thanks.

MGH (Mark Haig) will love this, this is death metal. And the mix is pretty good I think. It's easy for music like this "to hurt" when you try to listen to it? I didn't have any of that at all here. Stupid Brownies? :-)

Not my type of music either, but they're sure good at it!  Good for them, starting so young!  :)
