New to Music Creator 5....can't monitor what's going in, HELP!!!
I've tried the help feature and looked online but so far I'm stumped. I'm running through an M-Audio Fast Track interface and OS is Win 7 64bit SP1. Any ideas?

You'll need to monitor from the Fast Track. How is that done? Hopefully someone with an M-Audio device will be along in awhile, or you could read it's help file. The MC help file will tell you to click the Input Monitor button, but I think that's if your interface doesn't have direct monitoring, as the Fast Track does.

Thanks Greg, I can monitor thru the interface but once i record a drum track, i don't think i would hear it back thru the interface to lay a guitar track down with it. I am getting levels going into windows....I can see the meters moving, and Windows media player will play audio out of my speakers. I just can't get the recorded stuff fro MC5 to come thru the speakers.

you shouldn't do that anyway - you shouldn't use 2 soundcards at the same time it will cause lots of problems. if you can't hear playback thru the fast track but can hear it through your computer speakers then we need to set up MC so that it's not using the computer soundcard at all and use the fast track as output instead. go to OPTIONS>AUDIO and change the DRIVER MODE to ASIO click APPLY now it should change your outputs automatically to the fast track, but let's be sure. look at the OPTIONS>AUDIO>PLAYBACK and RECORDING DEVICE(S) make sure the fast track is listed in both of them.

ok...fixed the latency but now the guitar track, track #2 won't let me change the output it is stuck on MASTER. so i recorded it to the drum track but can only hear the drums...i can see that the guitar recorded.

I don't understand what you mean about recording the guitar to the drum track because you can't change the output of the guitar track. none of that makes sense at all. first, why do you need to change the OUTPUT away from MASTER? it should be on MASTER and ONLY the master should be set to the soundcard, all of the tracks should be set to the master and not anything else. 2nd - the OUTPUT has no affect on your ability to record on a track. only the INPUT. so I'm confused why you are having problems with recording because of the OUTPUT of the guitar track? 3rd the drum track in a DEFAULT TEMPLATE PROJECT of MC5 is an INSTRUMENT TRACK which is technically a MIDI track - you can't record AUDIO (guitar from the soundcard input) on a MIDI track. that doesn't work right, so don't try to do that.
