New to SPlat. CCC question.

Hi All,

I just upgraded from X1 and am really looking forward to digging in.  My music computer of not on any network.  It looks like the CCC can really help in keeping things up to date.  I really don't want my music comp on line (it NEVER crashes).

I can put a usb network adapter on it for only those times when I want to install things or check for updates.  However, I have been doing the thumb drive transfer method for a while now.

It is a bit far to run a network cable.

Is it worth installing CCC on my music box or should I just keep it totally offline?

Thanks,
Erik

It's really your choice. It's certainly convenient to update from your music computer, but you can download to a different machine and install on your music computer.

Hi. I have all my downloads on a separate HD (in its own folder). I have made a specific folder for SONAR 2015, where I put all CCC downloads, and install everything from there (through CCC, even though it is an online pc).
I like to have the backups, just in case I need to re install without internet connection.
I believe that it could be done with your pc as well.
    Best of luck.
