Content is awesome but not sure about the mix. I may be off the mark but I thought it was lacking low end a tad and the high end was kind brittle.

    Hey !
Do u think these issues could be sorted out by mastering,or its better to fix in the mix ? I know what u mean by the high end being brittle,I think its the way I processed the strings.
Thanks for listening, and glad u liked it ;)

Though I dabble in Electronica and HH, I've never finished or mastered one. I'm not sure to be honest. Very close here but my gut tells me trunk rattling lows at high volume and a bit warmer highs would take it to the next level.

Bass is not bad here, but it is a tad cold and Grant's advice is sound IMO. If you warm it up, the bass will follow suit on its own I think. I enjoyed it, but too short. I want like... 2 more minutes please?

Good track that would make a great TV or movie theme imo.  I kept imagining cars crashing for some reason.

I also concur with Grant and Shad on the mix issues and i can recognise them because i often have the same issues myself.  That said, the overall mastering had sort of rounded off the hard edges most of the time.

      Good one.

    Hey !
I wonder if the lack of bass is more to do with the arrangement to be honest. I have the bass notes playing on only the 1st beat of the bar, which is kinda  unusual. I might have a go at writing another bass line today, see what happens.
Thanks for your crits and tips !! :)

I listened through my cans and I think it all sounds really good.  The bass part is just too soft.  The rest of the mix sounds spot on for this style of music.  I really like your creativity with the melodic lines.  It does bring out a little playful sinister (what's the right word for that?) quality!

    Good job.

    Hey Kev . . .
Loved it!   This kind of arrangement is what I like to call . . . everything but the kitchen sink.  You brought acoustic, electric, synth, percussion and on and on and on and turned it into a great little piece of music.  Mix doesn't sound bad on my end.  I do hear what the others are saying but only on certain instruments.  If it were my piece I would correct the mix but, not during the mastering stage.  I'm no expert . . . as we all know but I can hear sections that warmth or low/mid end, could be added.  Especially in your synths and string/orchestration sections.  I really enjoyed this as I do all of your music.  KUDOS!

Sounds really good!  Really a huge sound.  I like the industrial vibe.  Nice collection of different textures - kind of grungy industrial percussion all the way to orchestral strings.  Very cool!

I loved listening to this.  I was left with wanting more.  A little more bass would do wonders, but not too much.  It would help balance the strings out.

really cool. i like how playful everything is while being kind of mysterious at the same time AND has a good driving beat. definitely different and unique. it could use some kind of warmth in the mix but otherwise its a nice track.

I'm on my studio monitors where I can hear bass when I don't so much in the earphones.  I really didn't hear much bass.  Just my observation.  As far as everything else it was very nicely mixed, Kev1s.  I liked the song , too.

Sorry for the late reply. Glad u digged the arrangement ! It was really fun to make :) I think ure right, its better to fix the mix, rather than trying to fix the problems at the mastering stage. Ive been working on another piece so I got sidetracked abit, but I will come back to this mix at some point.
Hey,and thanks for the complement :)
