New update wrecked my plugin categories

I just downloaded the latest release of Sonar Professional and the way VST plugins are listed seems to have changed. Previously I could display all of my subfolders in alphabetical order but that seems to have gone. This was especially useful where for example I had two different folders of Nomad plugins. Now I seem to only be able to display by type or manufacturer and that is not what I want to do. Is there a way to get back the way plugins were displayed?

If you saved the layout you should be able to load it back. I one that likes the new way Sonar lists plugins.

I too noticed the new plugin layout.  In as much as I like the auto organization of the plugs, it is taking me more time to FIND the specific plugin I am looking to insert.

Over time, this will be less of an issue and I am sure that I enjoy the new presentation better than the old one.

One of the things I do not LIKE is that my UAD plugs are doubled up with the same name and probably represent STEREO and MONO versions of the plugs but I do not know which is which yet (the first or second one on the list).  I do know that inserting a stereo plug on a MONO track sounds funky and will know when I insert the incorrect one so I hope that the order is consistent throughout the list (that is, the first one is always the stereo version or visa versa).

Yeah, I see little reason to use my layout anymore. Now if I can just stop right clicking the fx bin and train this aging brain to use the browser........

To see the 2016.07 style "Default All Plug-ins" layout do not select any of the sort options. The only problem I have with the new "Default All Plug-ins" is the presentation of the VST3 folder.

I hoped they would have included a ProChannels, hopefully that's on the way.

Hi. I was a little lost at first, but I am getting used to using the browser more and more.
And I like that I can categorize plugins as desired now.

I don't understandwhy they couldn't leave the old 'all plugins' category as an option. I tried the suggestion of saving the layout before updating Sonar and at first that appeared to work, however it would appear the saved layout is a snapshot and after I added some new VST plugins they didn't appear in the layout. I don't like the new views at all!
