New version of Cakewalk Live! (???)

Have been using Cakewalk Live for 20 years for live midifile playback - very dependable, love it. But my old win95 laptop and Midiman Portman are getting cranky in their old age. Is there newer software for live midifile performance with comparable tools (e.g. on-the-fly insertion/deletion of songs to setlist, flow on/off, tempo increase/decrease) - Im trying other software for performance, but Windows Media Player isnt as easy to work with, and Cubase SX2 is not conducive to very good song-to-song flow (no jukebox feature). I miss the seamless flow of a show that Cakelive has...

I had never even heard of Cakewalk Live befor your post. apparently it's not used anymore.

If I were you I'd look into Band In A Box. they have features that you are describing for live MIDI use including setlists. check out the forums there as well and ask them there if your specific needs can be met with that software:

Cakelive was great in its day.

Now, those features are built into Sonar. It feels exactly the same. Although I haven't tried it yet, I bet you can even import your old set lists into Sonar and use them there.
