Newbie Question about Scrolling

Hi
Appart from pressing Control and using the mouse wheel, is there a keyboard key for scrolling in the Track View?

I take it you are talking about horizontal scrolling. If you have a mouse wheel that can scroll horizontally pressing it right or left may do that.

I have a Mackie Control for scrolling left and right.

I use jump-to-marker and jump-to-measure keyboard shortcuts for nearly all horizontal scrolling. First thing I do after recording my initial guide track is to place markers at every important change (e.g. intro, verse, chorus, bridge, fadeout, and the point where new instruments, vocals or BGVs come in). If you have a second screen, you can also keep the Marker List up for quick access to any part of the song with a single click.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Same here, and I also use "Go to start of this measure" and "Go to end of this measure." Keyboard shortcuts are assigned to all these four commands by default, but the keys are positioned on the right side of the keyboard (Ctrl+Shift+PageUp/Down, Ctrl+PageUp/Down), so it's better to reassign them to desired keys on the left side if you're right-handed. A mouse with many buttons on it in your right hand and these keyboard shortcuts on the left side will make your daily operations VERY smooth.

I have assigned PgUp and PgDn for Previous Marker and Next Marker [I have PgUp and PgDn keys side by side at the corner of the keyboard]

How can I assign say Alt-PgUp to [Previous Marker+1 Bar back+1bar Back] ?

I want to use it for while recording to go back 2 bars from the marker. [I don't want to put another marker there]
    Thanks
