Newbie Question - recording stops

Trying to record a whole song, but in the middle, the recording just stops and I only get a small section of the recording? Is this a memory issue or some other problem? It's every time. Using X2

How long into recording when it stops ? How many tracks are you recording ?

    Any error message ?

Sonar works best with 7200 rpm drives. You can try bump up the audio interface buffer a little and see if it helps.. but may not help if your hard disk is the slower ones.

    Hi Steve.
    Just a suggestion here.
See how Albert above has his system specs and interface info in the bottom of his post?

It would be helpful for this and future inquiries if you would do the same.

On the top of the forums you'll see a section called 'User Control Panel'.
Go in there and put that info in your signature.

It'll save you from having to type it every time you ask a question.
It makes it easier for us to see what you're working with and help us help you.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Steve,
Make sure that you have not set a punch in – punch out range. If so it will only record that selected area. Turn it off if you want to record the whole song.
