Newbie alert!

Hi all, I'm new here, so forgive me for asking a question that's maybe already been answered tenfold but...

I'm thinking about buying either a Presonus Faderport or a Frontier Design Alphatrack to use with Sonar X1 and Win 7 64. Would you mind telling me which currently works best with my software set-up? I fancied the Faderport, but have read in these here forums that some users have had problems with the installation/operation of this piece of kit.

Have the Faderport/X1/Win 7 64 issues been resolved?

Thanks in advance for your help! My first post, but as I become a more active X1 user I hope to get more involved in the forums as time goes by.

Regards
Gary

Well, thanks for the warm welcome. And all your kind advice. Are the folk that populate these forums and the folk that man the Cakewalk Helpdesk one and the same? (If you've ever waited three weeks for a reply off the Helpdesk, you'll know what I mean).

Well, so long, it was nice knowing you - I'm going back to the AGF now, where the good people go...

There is no help desk. This is a peer to peer forum. I would comment on your question but I know nothing about either of your choices. I use a Mackie Control.

When someone comes along to help then an answer will be forth coming.

Until then you are most assuredly welcomed and I hope you have a very productive time here.

    Best
