Newbie

Hi guys ! Here a newbie eager to learn from this great forum. I am trying to compose a song. I am working with Sonar Producer 8.5, with Kontakt as a plug in and EWI USB as a controller. I want to ad a track in Sonar in which a note must keep sounding from beginning to end of the song and cannot keep blowing my controller all the time, so my question is: is there a way to keep that note sounding all the time without blowing the controller.  Sorry if my explanation is not much coherent. Please help me.

    Welcome!
Draw the note as long as you wish in the Piano Roll view. Or if you want some variation and fluctuation in the sound, record a note as long as you can blow and copy/ paste it (I assume a breath controller produces slightly varying sound?).

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

Thanks Kalle ! I will try to follow your suggestions. I know just the basics of sonar and it's time to start learning all its functions and tools. And yes, my controller has a nice breath expression. Thanks again and good luck !

Can also right click it in staph view and stink in whatever length you want.

Also draw a note, right click and enter a new duration. Isn't there a virtual keyboard too?
