Next Melodyne Upgrade Deal?

Some time ago, maybe around the end of 2017, I saw some heavily discounted deals for upgrading Melodyne from the version that came with SONAR. I didn't take advantage of the opportunity at the time and now I wish I had.

Does anyone know if these extra discounts are offered on a regular basis? If so, I'd be willing to wait until the next time they show up. Thanks.

I'm remembering a much better offer than anything I'm finding at the moment and wondered if they periodically offer a lower-price deal. I hoped someone here who watches these things more closely than I do might know.

ARA2 is coming... that means there will be new Melodyne version. Introduction offers was good last time.
Celemony is consistent in the price politic, I do not think you can find better offer then what you get when registering the first time.
If you had plans to get Waveform or other DAW with Melodyne, that can be a good way to get Editor.
If you target Studio, getting Editor now and waiting for new Melodyne version can save quite some money (Editor 2 -> Studio 4 was almost the same as Editor 2 -> Editor 4).

Indeed - In my humble opinion it is better to wait and see what ARA2 is going to offer. In the mean time I just use the basic version that came with Platinum.

To be honest - I just don't use Melodyne that much. The build-in Variaudio in Cubase Pro just does enough to feel no real need for Melodyne. That would be probably more different if you really make heavy use of voice correction, but in my case I really seldom use Melodyne. So I probably would not even upgrade if it that upgrade was half price.

    From Melodyne

"With ARA 2, the exchange of information between DAWs and plug-ins is even more comprehensive, which makes additional applications possible. The new ARA 2 specification allows, among other things, the simultaneous editing of multiple tracks, the transfer of chord track information between the DAW and the plug-in, seamless clip borders that make the manual setting of crossfades superfluous, Undo interlocking with the DAW, and much else besides."

It is ok to compare Melodyne Essencial with Variaudio. But Melodyne Studio is way more then a voice corrector.
I understand that Cubase fans are not fascinated from Melodyne, ARA integration is not yet announced officially. I mean usual interpretation of "not supported" as "not needed"

I waited about 2 months in the hopes I'd be able to get some kind of good deal, in the end I bought an upgrade through the celemony website, from essentials to editor.
Melodyne is easily the best audio application I've ever bought or used, it's insanely good and worth every single penny.

I once complained to them about not grading upgrades but letting everyone upgrade for the same price no matter your existing version and they told me the following.

Celemony have a philosophy whereby we want to see as many as possible using our top version of Melodyne.
    Expressed in my own words.

It’s always possible that they’d look favourably on a personal email request for a special price
