Nightmare

http://www.audiorecording...ices.com/Nightmare.mp3

This piece started life as a throwaway homework assignment that I turned a couple of weeks ago...and then my friend Ray Ferretti dubbed his real guitar over my MIDI guitar part and played a short solo that made my head spin.

Enjoy,
J

You gotta love real drummers... They sound great too. The piece is "different?"

Esotaric and dialectic... Some pretty hot guitar too.

All you need is love, just ask the Beatles?

    Hi Janet,

I just experienced the same problem you did. I re-uploaded it and it seems to be OK now for some reason.  If you run into that again you should be able to download the MP3 to your hard drive.

Very nice guitar work and orchestration.  I love music that is unpredictable, and this fills the bill.  Good drum programming as well.

Good job. This reminds me of the rock jazz that was coming from the music scene in the late 60's into the early 70's ... Chick Chorea....and a few others were rocking this vibe.

    Nice.

Thanks for the positive response. I guess that means I have to finish this one!

In all seriousness, I am in the middle of producing my own jazz fusion recording, which is long overdue.  I'll be posting some excerpts before too long.

    Cheers,

I like this very much! I'm just not a fan of the drum samples, they sound a bit synthetic IMO. But the composition and performance is superb man!

I love real drummers too, but this is from the Reason Drum Kits refill.  It's a custom kit I created and the MIDI was actually done in Sibelius of all things!

Sounds great ! Reason Drum kits I have that one but don't work with it very much , maybe I should clear off the dust and work with it more offen .
