No Audio Playback or Recordinig Sonar 6 Windows 7 64 bit

I Have a new lenovo g550 laptop and cant get any audio playback master but audio works fine in other programs its a conexant hd audio just an onboard sond card

    Have you set up Sonar to recognize and use the Conexant? Read your manual about the Options/Audio settings.

    You need to be in MME driver mode and those cards may not support all bit depths and sample rates.
    For better performance and better sound quality, a dedicated audio interface/sound card should be used.

    Thanks Cjaysmusic that did the trick Yeah a dedicated audio interface would be better i was thinking of getting a boss gt-10 anything you would reccomend

    No ,the Boss GT 10 is an amp simulter, not an audio interface. Yea, they say it can work, but the drivers suck for it and you cant hook up your studio monitors to it, so how could that be your audio interface?

    You need to get an audio interface that enables you to record and playback.
    If you dont know what cards to look for, i suggest gettign an USB sound crad/audio interface, since laptops have terible Firewire chips in them.
