No Drag and drop to Browser?

I thought we could highlight, drag and drop a clip to the Browser and it would create a WAV file there, no?
If so, I must not be doing it right.

Are you in the Media Tab of the Browser and under an area that can handle Waves?

I've never tried dragging waves in like that but I'd imagine you can't drag a clip into the VST or Synth folders.

its a little springy here but there are a few tricks, with the /wav files, some are fairly large, so try this. drag it there but don't let go go of your mouse button yet, watch close to the transport module, you will see it filling up like a guage if you will.

in simpler terms not as confusing as I just explained it  :)
drag it over, hold it there for 3 seconds (without letting go of the left mouse button)
and then release the button, it should work.

    please let me know

you can also drag and drop files right to windows explorer by dragging the clip to an open file in the windows taskbar.
again hold it there and the file will open in the screen on top of sonar.
    then simply drop it.

if you have the same problem as before(it doesn't work) try holding that button as explained previously.

    Hm thanks.
I was able to get one track to copy to the browser by holding longer. Tho there was nothing happening in the transport while I did that.
When I finally let go it did the transport thing, but nothing showed up
The others did not do it.
The drag to the Windows folder (same folder) worked great tho, thanks.

Thanks Chuck. I swear I used to do this just fine.
It was nice not to have to change all the names of the files.
