No Sound Korg Triton & Delta 1010 X3

I recorded several tracks into MIDI tracks to avoid having to record 16 audio takes in a 16 track song. I've set up the Triton to map the appropriate midi channels, banks and programs. When I play back the song in X3, I hear nothing.
  1. I've set the Triton to sync with the external clock of X3 and turned off the local control to avoid double notes.
  2. I created an audio track, soloed one of the midi tracks and set the input of the audio track to the appropriate input on my Delta 1010.
  3. The MIDI track has echo on.
  4. X3 is in internal or audio midi clock. Triton is in external midi clock mode.
  5. I arm the audio track, press the record button and play x3.
  • The Triton does NOT start!
  • I cannot get any action on the VU meters for the audio track!
What is wrong with this set up? What do I have to do to get sound from the Triton when I play the recorded midi tracks in X3?
Any ideas why the Triton will not start when X3 is played?
Can someone please post some simple step by step instructions? I've done this many times with other keyboards and older DAWS. I can't get X3 working with the Triton.

PS Is there a better way of recording multiple audio tracks in one take?

Looks like everything is setup right, except you are missing one step.

Give this a shot, maybe it'll get you out of the fog.

Go to Edit > Preferences > Project > Midi > In the Send Midi Time Code section check the box labeled Transmit MTC.

Hold the phone- You just need to send the MIDI data to the Triton and record the audio output, Sonar is your sequencer, there is no need to complicate the issue with syncing the Tritons sequencer.

Thanks for responding. I did have "Transmit MTC" checked, but I still get no sound and the Triton doesn't start when I play X3. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for your input. I may have misled you. I recorded all the MIDI events on the Triton and recorded into X3. Now, I'd like to monitor what was recorded and do any necessary edits. For some reason, I can't get X3 to trigger the Triton to start the sequences that are loaded. Triton is set for External MIDI clock, and then I press start. It is waiting for MIDI command to start and never does. Therefore I cannot record actual audio tracks of these events either.

How do you have your midi cables hooked up from Delta to Triton?
