No Such Interface Supported
I have been using MC5 with no problems and tonight I went to Export to a Wav file and got the message "No Such Interface Supported". I then tried Wave with same return. I recently installed a Midi driver which worked at first then I could not get any audio transfer from the keyboard to MC5. I am thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling MC5 then running the updates, etc. Suggestions? Helps? Guides? Anything? Thanks!

My Device Manager lists two: ATI High Definition Conexant High Definition I don't know where to check for the drivers in MC5. It just seems strange that I use to be able to export before I installed the driver for my midi interface (E-MU Midi 1x1) to connect my Yamaha PSR-260 Keyboard. Thanks for replying and taking the time to help me figure this out.

Go to Options>Audio in MC and tell us what is listed for both Playback and Recording Device. While there, you should see a box where you can choose which Driver Mode to use. That's where you find out what driver mode you're using. You should have MME, WDM/KS and possibly ASIO and WASAPI. What is it currently set to? Then go to Options>MIDI Devices and see if the E-Mu is listed and selected. Then go to your tracks and buses and see if any of the outputs have changed. Sometimes, software updates can cause changes in MC's settings.

As greg said, go to OPTIONS>AUDIO and change your driver mode to WASAPI if it's available, if it's not, change to MME. click APPLY. a window will pop up telling you that MC needs to run some tests. click OK. that should get you going.

Playback: Speakers (Conexant High Definition) Recording: Microphone (Conexant High Definition) Driver Mode: MME (32 bit) Midi Devices: Outputs E-MU Midi 1x1 Tab Input is empty Beagle: I changed to WASAPI (twice, changed it back to MME, got audio, then tried it again with no sound output) and I did not get any sound during playback. I found I did not have a Bus at all and added one, attempted to Export and it worked! Now to get my Midi to show up in the Input so I can use my keyboard?

make sure all of your tracks are set to output to the bus (which there should be a MASTER or "A" bus in the normal template!). only the master bus (or "A" whichever you want to use as the master) should be set to output to the soundcard. keyboard: what keyboard do you have? how is it connected to the computer? OPTIONS>MIDI DEVICES what's there?

you have to have some sort of MIDI interface connected to get something to show up under the MIDI devices....the factory sound cards do not have a midi input so until you install one (physically) nothing is likely to be there. If you buy an external soundcard/interface, I always recommend buying one that does both midi and audio in one box.
