No Tomorrow

Well for whatever reason I decided to post this. Most people seemed to like it although I was not happy with the vocals. Go figure. I am just not happy with them lately.

Bass was done by StrongTom and the guitar solo/mix was done by my partner FloridaMusic. I did the acoustic/rhythm guitars on this one and vocals.

I think the vocals are great. I like the background "Ahhh" vocals alot too. I can't tell if the backgounds vocals were by you too or one of the other members, but it's great.

    Very nice song!

    Appreciate that moosesong!

I did the "ahhs" as well. "Members" = 2 people living in different states hehe.

I think because I am using a new Condenser Mic that is a little bit unforgiving compared to my previous mic. I hear more detail now. I guess I need to scrutinize my final vocals a bit more before ftp'ing them to my partner.

    Thanks for the feedback ;)

    Hi, Dazed,

Yeah, vocals sound good. Very slightly pitchy in spots, but nice style and sound. They're a bit too up-front in the mix, to me, though.

The mix, in general, seems too light on the bottom. Kick drum and bass could have more guts.

    Just some thoughts. . .

There's a good atmosphere and vibe to this one. Vocals are good too. The only thing I wasn't keen on was the guitar solo. There wasn't anything wrong with it but I don't really like those sort of solos .

    Dazed:

My comment would be that as a listener I would like for the acoustic gtr part to fade into the back as the rhythm distortion kicks in and rocks. Then when going back to verse they could come back out prominent. I need some variation. I'm thinking Fishbone's "End the Reign" from "Give a monkey a brain ..." circa 1993.

Ok. The vocals are good, but I understand about the new mic.

    Good song, as always.

Thanks for the feedback jsykes, gruenfeld and M!

I appreciate the comments on the vocals. Eventually I will feel more comfortable with them :).
