The post was originally in the features and ideas forum. I moved it because the Opening Post was neither, rather a comment discussing Sonar itself.
If you have a feature or idea to consider then please do post in those forums (check existing posts perhaps for examples). There is also a rating facility as well so that other people may rate your suggestions.

No. It was about not knowing if any one needed to post about new features until the new version is released.
Exactly as the title of the particular forum.
I have many ideas about stuff: such as a save-as button, and a proper auto-save function,....
And dozens of others. Which I have asked for since 1999.
So, I think my post was exactly correctly placed.

Sorry but there wasn't anything to go on at all in your opening post. Please use the latest released version as a reference point with ideas/features. Please also check the guidelines (the top thread of the forums). Features & Ideas If you have a great idea - share it! To reduce the signal to noise ratio please do not create duplicate threads with the same idea. Duplicates will be removed or merged. If you have a suggestion to improve an idea please include it in the same thread. Like problem reports, the more fleshed out and detailed your idea is the better. Work with the community on refining it and please update the opening post with the latest refined version of the idea. Right now there are about four good posts in that forum which will give you a general idea though... you submit an idea or feature request in the form of a thread and it gets voted. Okay, that explains it. When I read the title, I had no idea what the thread was about but assumed it was one of the "speculation about X4" threads we've had in here...I suppose Alex made the same assumption. If it had been titled "Ideas for Future Releases" or "When Is the Feature Request Section Coming Back?" or something less ambiguous it probably would have stayed where it was originally.

My post was in relation to the topic of the forum's purpose so close to pulling back the curtain. Not about sonar in particular.
DP, R,... all have need for changes.
But since I do not know how the world will change in the reasonably short term future, my post was about the futility of such an action as proposing that which is moot.
And so it goes
