No output sound

Hello,

Today i bought a Roland Duo Capture interface which comes with Sonar X1 LE.

I am now trying to use Sonar X1 LE but i can't get any sound out of my Roland Juno Di.

It just says ''Not Connected'' on the output.

    Welcome to the forum.
I think the first thing you should do is delete ASIO4All from your computer and go to the Roland website, download and install their true ASIO drivers for the Duo Capture and your operating system
    http://www.rolandus.com/products/productdetails.php?ProductId=1155
    then start over.
ASIO4All is a band-aid for sound cards that don't have true ASIO drivers and is no substitute for the real thing.
Let us know if that works and if we can help with something else.

    Thank you for your response.

I deleted the Asio4all drivers but i still dont have sound. i now have in on IN (DUO CAPTURE) and OUT (DUO CAPTURE)
I also can choose a driver mode
    choices:
    WDM/KS
    WASAPI
    ASIO
    MME (32bit)

    which one?

Though i tried FL studio 10 and i actually do have sound in that program.

Btw i already installed the Duo capture drivers but i forgot to delete  Asio4all which was still installed

ASIO should be the best choice.
What are you trying to play? Audio you recorded? MIDI you recorded? Audio or MIDI you imported from somewhere else?
Have you  checked that each track's output is sent to a valid port? If it's going to S/PDIF and there's nothing connected there, for instance, you won't hear anything.

I'm trying to figure out what the 'Str' means in front of the 'DCPTRIN'

I am trying to record both MIDI and Audio.

StrDCPTRIN = Stereo duo capture IN. The second stands for DUO capture OUT.

What is listed as your MIDI Device?
What does the error message say exactly?
Does it record and you can't hear it or does it not record at all?

    im guessing stereo

    edit.
under drivers tab in preference click on the asio tab.
what you need to do is open up the asio4all control panel.
it needs to be on/power on.
if not then its not detected and youll get this message everytime.

i strongly suggest you read the asio4all pdf that came with the download, its only 5 pages long.
because if you dont set it up right its not going to work.
you cant have both your onboard soundcard and your asio4 all active at the same time or it will create an i/o conflict and either crash, not work or give horid ossilation sounds.

this is the thing with asio4 all...you can spend up to 100,200 dollars on a audio interface and you wouldnt be having these issues right now,but instead you oppt the fre route with asio4 all, nothing wrong with that but there is a catch,
you need to study the pdf and figure out exactly how to use it.see?
the leg work is paying off the interface.
sure you can install it and think okay im all set,not the case.
    read up.

i see the photo you posted, try selecting asio4 all instaed of your dou.
because if im correct its not your dou thats your input anymore, its asio4all.

been awhile since i used it but i used it for a great lenth of time till i sprung for a v studio.
but after studying the manual it became clear of my options

I just recorded some, i played some arpeggios, ryhtm and lead. and it seems it recorded the rythm, lead, but not the arpeggios, also the sound modify knobs wont work, but the pitchbend/modulation do work.
when i replay the tune, the sound of the replay actually changes in realtime when i scroll through other presets on my synth.

so i think the midi works fine, but the audio is still the question for me. when i play, the MIDI activity bar lights up, but the audio activity bar doesn't show any activity.

    Also midi is listed as:
    Input3- Juno - Omni
    Output to 1-3 Juno

Here is a pic of the error message

I deleted ASIO4All a few days ago on recommendation of Greg.
