No record audio

MOTU Traveler interface, I can hear audio in the headphones, I can see level on the MOTU meters and I've got the right input driver selected but there's no audio in the track even when armed. I know it's something obvious but I can't find it. Can anyone give me a checklist, what's supposed to be selected in Sonar and Windows? It's definitely not the equipment, this is following a reinstall so I lost whatever the settings were. Thanks - rev Quad 3.3, Win 7 Ult x64, 12 RAM, Sonar 8.5.3 x64

Are you recording to an audio track or a MIDI track? Is the meter strip in Sonar indicating that it's receiving the audio from the MOTU? The Traveler is a Firewire device. Is your computer recognizing it (check Windows Device Manager).

you said you are sure you've selected the correct input on the audio track, but that would be my guess if you can see meters moving on the MOTU but can't get the meters to move on an armed track in sonar.

try changing to each input on the sonar track and see if the meters move on that armed track for any input.

Don't usually get this question from someone with your post count. But I guess some are busy using MID and have never used the audio inputs before,,,,The standard check list is to first look at the track input and select the input you are using. If there are no inputs showing then you need to go to audio options and see if the drivers are checked. If you have other audio devices sometimes Sonar switches on you.
