No sound on right side

I'm using Sonar Professional. I have no sound coming out of the right side on audio tracks, but synth tracks seem to be working fine. I'm using a Scarlet 2i2 as my interface, and I'm recording with a Sure SM57 microphone in front of my guitar amp. I'm monitoring with headphones which is also working fine. I have checked my interface as a stereo input and playback device. To compound this problem, copying the original audio track take and pasting it into a new audio track results in there being no sound at all on the pasted track. I'm not using any effects. Can somebody please help?

Sounds like you're recording a mono channel to one side of a stereo track. Make sure to set the Input of the audio track to just the one side of the stereo input pair that the mic is plugged into.

    That did the trick. Thanks.
