No sound when doing tutorial 9 drum maps

No sound when doing tutorial 9 drum maps

I have went through the tutorial 9 -drum maps ,seversl times (HS4XL) .I can paint in the patterns but I get no sound during playback.(M-audio fast track pro)I configured everything as per the tutorial but nothing. I checked to make sure the sound card was working properly and it worked fine while doing guitar tracks ?What am I doing wrong

    Thanks Sinc. I got it to work after reading your explanation. I guess I should have looked through the forum before posting. (my bad).Sometimes you can spend hours just looking for a relevant post ? OK I will read your explanation several more times and see if I can figure out how to assign to different synths etc. Thanks again your help is greatly apreciated.

    Yeah, Thanks!

    I've got this on the horizon as the next area to learn and your post is printed and saved with my copy of Scott's book. Sometimes you and others can put out these great posts that save hours of frustration. I have the user manual, Scott's book and my collection of thread posts printed out. This is not an easy program I figure a realistic learning curve is a couple of years when you are just an occassional user and home recording hobbiest.
