No sound when playing back Midi File

I have loaded a midi from within Sonar onto a midi track.
 
It is showing in the output indicators that there is something there.
 
So why no sound?
 
Think everything is set correctly.  Audio files play.
help Please......

    Hi. You need to route the MIDI signal out to a softsynth, in order to get sound.

    Yep. There's a  tutorial (used to be #4) about using soft synths. It's worth going through, as are all the tutorials in order to learn the basics. You can get to the tuts By pressing F1.
    You do know that MIDI has no sound, it's just data? It's like digital sheet music, which needs to be routed to an instrument which plays it.
