I have and like Nomad's PulTec EQ.  For me, and I am not knocking the Nomad version, it is a little "brighter" or "sharper" than the UAD or IK PulTec EQ's.  I know that such descriptions are questionable especially when describing an EQ and particularly a PulTec, but when compared to UAD's and IK's version, the Nomad PulTec seems to help my Hammand B3 (vsts) organs sit better in a mix.  I am glad I have it and the other PulTec emulations as they each have their own places and usages in my toolbox.  I don't know what the original PulTec's actually sounds like, but these software emulations are all nice to have and provide in general terms a more rounded and gentler curve; they are great for giving some warmth, character and even subtle glue to a total mix.  Love my PulTecs.

All Nomad Factory plugins sound awesome and are one of the best Vintage, TUBE and Tape emulation plugins in the software business.
Many are better then UAD or Waves.
I have all the plugins. I can personally recommend you buy them. If you do you will never regret that you did.

I have just received the Pultec EQ plugin and registered etc. For the money it is well worth it. I have been doing some exhaustive EQ testing over some really great mixes and I must say this is one mighty fine sounding EQ. If the source material is even the slightest cold sounding or digital sounding or clogged up a bit in lower mids etc, this EQ just makes the mids (and lower mids) sound great either by boosting subtly the ends of the spectrum or using the attenuate control in the mid/lower range. It is mighty fine sounding EQ. I am amazed at how audible the result is even with small amounts of attenuation or boost.

I also recently got Dimension D from EmptyRoomSystems and that is a beautiful sounding chorus. One of the best I have ever heard.

Nope, I don't know that anything (well the UAD Manley comes close) is truly "magic" but most eqs and comps...especially vintage ones...have their own "coloration" which differentiates them from others.  Pul-Tecs in general are very warm and musical.  The Nomad version is, to my ears, a bit more detailed than my UAD or TRacks versions.  If you're really looking for one "do-it-all" EQ (or comp, or gate, or limiter for that matter) look no further than the Pro series from FabFilter.  The best IMHO.
