Non-Midi editing with Windows Vista

I grew up with Cool Edit Pro and was sorely disappointed when the company was sold off to Adobe to become Adobe Audition. Audition can't (yet) be used with Windows Vista, however. What's a man to do? Suggestions on a really good non-Midi editing program from anyone?
