Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.........

Been using Cakewalk since Twelve-Tone on my Tandy computer in MS-DOS!!!
Gibson Ba$turds!!!!!
Thank you Cakewalk for helping me make lot's of money....uh... I mean music. :)
Ill use it FOREVER.... unless they come out with telepathic music production!

I going to go play Crossroads by Bone-Thugs in Harmony now and pour some beer on my floppy disc copy of 12-Tone (Cakewalk) 1 whilst I partake deep inhalations of "Chicken and Waffles" ..
(tear) bye now......

I count myself included as a DOS user, and had the initial Windows versions.

Reading coffee house threads leads me to ask this question..

Is there anybody who HAS NOT used Cakewalk software since the DOS days? That would be far more unusual.

Me.....heard about it a lot back in those early days, but the studio where I worked went with Hybrid Arts.....anyone remember that? I started with Pro Audio 8 in '99, so even though I don;t go back to the DOS days this still hurts.

Cakewalk and I go back to the late 90's. I started with Home Studio 6, then got HS 2002, then Sonar HS 6, then 8.5 Studio then 8.5 Producer. and just got that  free SHS from the software store or whatever it's called. You could say Cakewalk was the reason I bought a computer. For years, all I did on that computer was use Cakewalk, and type some letters. It was never online, and was never updated. (It was a Windows 95 Gateway, I still have it). Yeah, this hurts. Although there are people here who would laugh at such a ridiculous emotional response. They can go you know where as far as I'm concerned.

AAARGH.

I love sonar too and I am using cakewalk products since cakewalk 4 (early '90) and I upgraded every year!!!!

At the beginning it was only midi (as many of you knows) and I used to sync cake 4 with a "new" DAW called TripleDAT..... (both application were running together using midi sync or so .... - old days.....).

We are all so sad ... (and angry too!!!).

I was an Atari Die hard. But I had friends with PC's ( pour Bastards) and I remember hearing those word Cakewalk. I used Dr T KCS right up until 2002. Have about 200 or more midi files I made with that. Still use them.
I only switched to a PC because Mac's were 2x the price. I always thought of PC's as IBM and thought they were just for business ( boring) stuff. Atari's and Apple's were for games and music.
I happened to have a copy of Guitar studio ( Home studio) ? which must have been a few years old by then, but gave that a go and joined the forum because I couldn't get anything to work.. I'm still here. I wonder if I still have that disk?
