Not Feelin' Bouncy
All of a sudden I can't bounce instrument tracks on the project I'm working on. I'm getting this message: "An unknown error occurred during processing, possibly caused by an invalid parameter." I'm using the same preset as I've always used. No dithering, no automation, no fx, if that matters. I went back to the only other X1 project that I have and I can still bounce down just fine, so it's something in this project. I've used way more softsynths in previous work. I opened the project in safe mode and only enabled 1 synth and it worked. Where should I start looking for the problem? Thanks for any ideas!

Shot in the dark -- try empting Pic cashe folder. That seems to solve many issues for me when editing audio. Especially when something use to work and does not anymore.

Thanks for the reply, Jim. CW has suggested I enable my synths and bounce them one at a time. No third party stuff here. It all shipped with X1. I'm trying to stay upbeat, but it's really discouraging .

the bounce menu doesnt restet itself..so if you made a change just remember youll need to make sure you changed it back..i just did it..just make sure you look at every little thing on there and also the selections youve made in the t.v.

What is your audio buffer size, and what is the value of BounceBuffSizeMsec= in AUD.INI? If the AUD.INI setting is not equal to 0, try that. If it is zero, and your audio buffer setting is below 4ms (176 samples at 44.1kHz) try raising either the AUD.INI value or your real-time audio buffer to the equivalent of 4ms or more. When BounceBuffSizeMsec=0, SONAR uses your real-time buffer size for bouncing. In earlier version of SONAR, this could cause problems for some VSTis when the buffer was very small. But in X1, it appears they have made changes that can cause problems when the AUD.INI setting is not 0.

I get the same error message when trying to import a video (wmv) file into a blank project in Sonar X2 Studio. Should I try changing the AUD.INi settings?
