"Not Responding" message

When I make a change to a note, or move a note, or alter the tempo, sometimes X1 just freezes for between a second or two to maybe twenty seconds and then everything works.

Anybody else have this isssue?

    Hi Oz
I have it also. I have found just now that when it occurs, Go into task manager on the "Applications Tab" and see if anything other than Sonar is running. I thought I had everything disabled or killed. I just came back from a weekend away and fired the computer back up. I got the Not Responding again and immediately brought up task manager and found a "Funnel Seek test" running.  Still waiting to see what it does and comes up with. I will continue to check as it occurs unexpectadly.

Well The Test didnt find anything and closed out normally. I dont understand Win7 64 bit much but I know that even with everything stopped from launching/running in the background, there are still things that will fire up and run tasks causing this "Not Responding" for me. I have shutdown all auto updates but the backup is what really has me. It wants to always save to my external HD which I understand for safety but there is NO way to change location or schedule on the back up. Anyway, for me I think it is programs in the background launching outside of X1 slowing X1 down to the point of this fault. Depending on the task, it might snap back to working and it might not.
Ill be watching to see what you come up with that maybe helpful.
Are you running Win7 64bit as well?

    Mike,
If you have unexplained processes starting up you might want to check "Scheduled Tasks". Right click on the "Computer" icon and select manage and you'll find it in the list. In Win 7 once you expand the list you will find a huge bunch of tasks that may or may not be set to run automatically, depending on your installation. I have disabled most if not all of these (my machine isn't on the web) and have ended my mystery processes.

Note: When you open the tasks individually there will be a brief explanation of what it does, makes it a lot easier to decide what can be killed without a problem. There will also be start time constraints you can change so that everything waits until after work time.

Best of luck to you both.
