Not happy with VSampler

Dudes:

VSampler 3.5.1 is full of serious bugs and I'm not happy with it anyway.

Can anyone suggest a better sampler? Stability and ease of use are my primary concerns but it needs to support as many formats as possible too.

Thanks - rev

Me too. I stopped using it. There is a nice Sound Font player from RGC Audio. It is very stable in Sonar.

Nice Tracks Recording Studio. Intel Dual core 13ins i5 MacBook Pro 2.5 Ghz. Quad core i5, Win 7 home premium 64 bit, 8 Ghz memory, 2 WD Caviar Black 7200 HDs. G-Tech hard drives, M-Audio Axiom 25, Fender Stratocaster guitar, Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP firewire audio interface.

this is what I use, but I have the original beta which reads giga-(but not Giga 3 so if I want to use my Akai library, which was very important to me a while back, it was difficult. But by and by I have found better samples so its no longer and issue. I know a lot of people who very much like Halion. Maybe someone will pipe in.

    Thanks dudes.

I'm somewhat crestfallen about this because I'm trying to get on and sometimes I can't tell if I've misunderstood something or there's really a bug. Lately, I started reading the MAZ forums and all the stuff I thought was my fault was recorded as a bug by other users.

The Kontact sampler is out. It's even harder to understand in my opinion, and that tiny writing! The NI people must be British or mac users...

apparently Cakewalk felt the same way about VSampler .. 'cause they dropped it in S4.

    Kontakt 2 is great.

I know a room full of musical tunes.
Some rhyme, some ching, most of them are clockwork.
Let's go into the other room and make them work.

I've always hated VSampler as well. If you own any NI, East West product you can get Kontakt for half price until August 31. I've just ordered mine. It's supposed to be awsome.

Kontakt has a lot of features, but I find it much easier to understand than VSampler.

Kontakt is not very hard to understand, then again I don't think V-Sampler is either. Any sampler with bit of complexity takes a little work to learn. If you want instant gratification, buy one of the many romplers that are out.
