Not hearing MIDI while recording on the same track

Hi,
 
I have this issue, when I record say midi drums, I first record the kick and the snare. If I then record hihat on top of that I can not hear what I previously recorded. I only hear what I'm currently recording. Where is the setting for this in Sonar X3 Producer?

    Sounds like you are in "comping record" mode. Try "sound on sound", set by right clicking over the record button in the transport module or from preferences.
