Not sure about this Peak Indicator - (Sonar X1d)

Hi,
I have a midi track that I need a bit of help understanding the display of the level indicator.
As you can see by the screen grab, The signal strength is low, yet a peak indicator is flashing.
It's not fast paced music, but piano chords at about half a second duration.

What is this actually indicative of?

TIA.

Just a thought.....  If you double click the peak indicator (to make it reset / go away) does it come right back?

The X1 documentation is not available on the web site but should show the same thing in the local help.

MIDI meters do not have a peak indicator, the red area is an activity meter.

Double clicking the indicator whilst playing or stopped, doesn't appear to do anything.
    The condition remains.
