Note Mapping for Addictive Drums

I was wondering if there is a way to set up PRV to show the correct drum names for Addictive Drums without having to map it manually.

Thanks for any help

I did what this guy suggested...

You only have to do this once then it is available for any future sessions.

I will try again later. I am on enforced wireless internet, in a "fringe" area with only one tower, so right now my connection has a download speed of 100KB/s or less.

I have never understood why wireless internet is so EXPENSIVE/GB. The company does ALAP to give good service.

Also I have to be careful about dl'ing videos. I have a severe limit on data and ....bah!

You probably know this already but there are some basic drum map templates in AD2 with Alesis, Roland, Yamaha, GM and other mappings.  Just click on the question mark in the upper right hand corner of the home page and open "Map Window."  Then on the top left under "Map Preset" there is a drop down menu with some sub-menus.  Use the preset templates as a starting point and edit them (it's quite easy) if they don't fit your preference exactly.

I don't see any "?" I am in SNORE. There is no Help. WTH I would have expected a map to be provided at $80/kit.

I am wondering the same thing.

I followed the instructions in the video that Zinc suggested. That all went fine and dandy, but I can't figure out how to get anything to show in the PRV & drum map windows.

Apologies, the video is actually for setting up the Step Sequencer View which is how I have mine set up, not the PRV.
This allows you to save and load the drum mappings as a Pattern for use in the Step Sequencer not the PRV (see my example below)...

Yeah trouble is all those preset stuff are _way_ off AD2 mapping, where it has 10 snares etc.

Thanks scook, didn't know that was possible in PRV. Very useful.

My only question is why the heck aren't those files included with Sonar or through CCC. Would have saved a lot of folk a lot of time.

You probably missed one of the thousand steps to Nirvana..I am still only halfway there and waiting for failure.... it's a damned mess and should be handled better.

Lol, yes although I had been using the pattern view oblivious of this solution. Glad you got the answer you were looking for in the end and actually I have learnt something so it's a win win from my point of view :)

Holy crap! That's a lot of work for my already overloading brain.
I'll just stick to the step sequencer method since I've already got it set up that way.

You have to make sure that the midi track your using for AD has the drum map as the input.

I do not know the step sequencer, but your first line was pretty much what I thought. It's ridiculous, at the price of those drum modules

I think you mean "has the drum map as the OUTPUT."
