Note Selection In PRV Followed By Track Selection In PRV Track Pane

If I'm working in PRV and I select a note, perhaps do some work on it, then (without deselecting the note) make a different track the current track by clicking on it in the PRV Track Pane, the selected note remains highlighted along with the notes from the newly selected track. Am I the only one who finds this annoying? If I select a different track, it's because I want it (and only it) highlighted. So I have to take the extra steps of deselecting the previously selected note.

There are times when I am working on my orchestrations with multiple track up in PRV it becomes quite confusing, and I assume that ALL highlighted notes are from the newly selected current track when in fact that may not be the case.

This is not a Sonar bashing; I just want to see if others find this behavior annoying, or if there is something about which I need to be enlightened which makes this behavior preferred.

I wonder why this post was left unanswered :)

I've just confirmed what you described and I think it's an intended behavior, because it allows users to select notes from multiple tracks. Although the selection remains when you click a different track, if you simply select notes (without holding CTRL) in the newly selected track, notes in the original track get deselected. No?
