Nothing much of great interest, but

thought I'd share my relocation from Las Vegas to sunny (humid) Orlando Florida, and it's been an excellent experience so far. It's really a wonderful place for family life with all the greenery and peaceful nature. We're a bit away from the city and love our new surroundings (lakes, natural parks, mini-forrests, birds, deer, rabbits etc......nice!!!).
 
The people are extremely friendly (especially in my neighborhood) and have actually helped me unload everything from my pod as well as offered their place/food/lodging for my family (until we got settled in........this type of thing is/was practically unheard of in the West Coast). It certainly made a good impression and I truly appreciate their kindness......(I was a bit nervous with moving my family across the country without really knowing what to expect).
 
Now, if I can just get adjusted to the 3hr. time difference and all these toll roads......

    Glad you made it safe and sound.  Given the friendliness of the neighbors, you may be able to borrow some pink flamingos for the front yard unti you have time to buy your own.

    Glad you made it safe and sound.  Given the friendliness of the neighbors, you may be able to borrow some pink flamingos for the front yard unti you have time to buy your own.

    I brought a few pink flamingo's (from the Flamingo Hilton) just in case, but then I have the live one's of these walking on my front yard-----
    (not sure what kind of bird they are)

    Those are alright.  If you start seeing Pteranodons flocking to your yard, you should probably go inside.

    Tru dat, but it sure could use the rain. I'm in the central part of Fl., so I hope the hurricane's don't hit here too badly....

     Glad you made it there ok Mesh. That bird looks like a goon. Harmless unless you try juggling their eggs . That tends to rile them up . Big Bird would feel  out of place there. He's more of a San Fran bird.
     The birds like to eat the snakes and the fish. A lot of birds could mean a lot of snakes...oh and the snakes like the frogs and the frogs like the bugs...everyone is eating everyone else it can get really confusing. Being at the top of the food chain has its advantages.

    I suppose it's better than Dog, dog, dog eat dog. I'm still to see any snakes (don't like them at all)......I did have to kill a few black widows in my garage and have yet to see a mosquito. So far so good!! :)

    I know he's in Fl., but I'm not quite sure where Mike's at. If there are snakes around that area, I'm certainly gonna be keeping my distance. However, I do like watching Most Extreme's top 10 creature's, Discover, National Geographic, Animal Planet etc...and seeing snakes from that point of view.

    Isn't it amazing that the really big ones can keep completely hidden?  I mean, how DOES a 30 foot python hide like that???
