Novation Impulse + Sonar X1 issues

Hi guys, I have bought a new midi keyboard [novation impulse 49] and I followed the automap set up for sonar. Now every time I start SonarX1 I come up with repeated errors, 1) The midi devices are set up incorrectly 2) When scanning for VST plugins, Sonar gets stuck at eveyr single .dll relating to the automap software. Has anyone got this working yet? Alex

The Impulse 49, Automap, and X1 should work just fine together.

What version of Automap are you running?
I would suggest you open a ticket with Novation technical support at: http://www.novationmusic.com/support/contact_us/

In the meantime, you can uncheck all of the plugins in Automap found in the Software Setup tab under Plugins.  This will disable the wrapped plugins so that you can still use Sonar while you are waiting for a fix from tech support.

Matt, thank you for your reply, At the moment, I haven't installed the automap [after a fresh install of Sonar] and I am not getting any issues yet.. I opened a ticket with them on the day I put this thread up and still awaiting a reply, The software mapping you speak of, is that via the automap or sonar tools? I ask because when one installs automap it creates a new dll file in every VST plug in, Alex

What Matt is sayin is that pending a resolution to your ticket, If you go through the automap setup, but do NOT select any VST when prompted, then there will not be new .dll created for each vst and the impulse will effectively be a control surface for Sonar only, (transport & mixer)...so it should make it somewhat useful in the meanwhile :)
