Oh I recognize that studio!  That guy makes some great parody "tutorial" electronica videos using that gear.
(Unfortunately, I stumbled on them by accident so I have no idea how to find them again!  Oh well.)

I guess my secret is out. I can no longer fool the fine forum folks pretending to be a "real" Sonar user.
I'm not even old enough to be on here. I'll just slink away now in utter embarrassment.

Just one question.... How did you find me and when did you break into my humble little home???

And where's my sing-a-long microphone?..... It was right there in front of the amp! I want it back!

For all that equipment, and where's the music?

Where's the music?

Actually, if I could find the YouBoob videos, you'd see that there really IS quite a bit of well-made music (albeit not one of your favorite genres).  His "real" studio is very, very nice.

No of course not that is the mastering suite the main studio is not so sophisticated.

Coincidentally...

I was sat in a recording studio earlier today.

I was deep in thought, pondering what would be the most comical way to be hit in the face by some recording equipment.

Then boom, it hit me.

we recently moved the keyboard to a different position on the stage.  I use a boom stand to put my ipad on for reading chordsheets during the service.  the keyboard is now on a step and there boom stand and the keyboard stand are on the edge of the step.  the bass player is directly in front of me.
this past Sunday morning was the first time I used the keyboard in that position.  the bass playa got smacked by the boom when it lost it's footing on the edge of the step and sent my ipad flying!

yes, actually I caught the stand before it fell completely off of the step, thus saving the ipad.  but not before it smacked the bass playa.

Nice tune that James, some beautifully understated lead work.

I really should make the effort to listen to more Knopfler.

Knopfler's solo stuff is much more satisfying than Dire Straits IMO Steve. I'd recommend 'Privateering', 'Golden Heart' or 'The Ragpicker's Dream' which includes this slow-building beauty;
