Now Time in Track and green marker in PRV on different measures-bug?

Doing a MIDI intensive project.
 
After I clone-copied a group of notes in the PRV (lasso, Ctrl+move), the green marker arrow in the PRV and the Now marker in the Tracks were on different measures. I think the Now Time in the track moved in the track view as I moved the cloned group in the PRV, but the green marker in the PRV stayed in its old position.
 
I clicked to reposition the green marker in the PRV, and both it and the Now Time maker moved by the same DISTANCE, but they were again in different MEASURES.
 
Only by shutting down Sonar and reopening the project did things return to normal.
 
I am way behind schedule and do not have time to chase down reproducible steps, but I just wondered if anyone else has had this?
And is it a bug at all - is there a legitimate reason why the two could be in different measures?
