Now and Forever cover sung by friend we didn't know could even sing

Recorded this cover tune a little while back when friends came to visit. We had no idea this girl could sing, but we were just goofing around in my studio, and this is what came out: http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_11490181

Yeah she's a singer, great voice. I like the performance and recording on that guitar too.

I have never heard this song before. I think between the guitar which was wonderfully played and the female voice which is quite beautiful, you have captured a great recording. You should do more like this if you feel inspired. Best regards, Lance

Beautiful song and beautiful singer.  Can you get her to sing for your son's band?

very nice... I like the instrumentation on this.... acoustic and some soft strings and a good singer.

Mark.... "east of Charlotte".... what town?  I'm east of Raleigh about 30 minutes. Sims, NC.

I get out that way from time to time. Not very often though. I have customers in Monroe.

On the mix... the acoustic sounded just a tad boomy or fat on the bottom end. the vocals seemed to have a mid bump in them that almost made it sound a bit unnatural to my ears. I would have rolled the guitar off to get rid of the boomy sound and scooped her voice to clean up the mids. Other than that, this is a great recording of a beautiful song.

Thanks for the replies. Lance, song is my Richard Marx. Lynn, that would be hilarious, her singing with my son's death metal band.:) Guitarhacker, I live in Indian Trail, which is sort of between Monroe and Charlotte. Thanks for the tips on the mix, though I didn't really do much with it since we were just goofing around. But it wouldn't hurt to get it a little cleaner sounding. Thanks.

    Wow...she sure can sing!  Beautiful!!

Have you considered bringing the guitar up a bit in the beginning.  Or maybe the vocals down?  Nice strings too.
